Wanna pull the trigger?
There are two different ways to be a member of the Yet-To-Be-Cleverly-Named Lucas J. Cellars Wine Club. Regardless of which option you choose, you’ll be privy to all the same specials, sales, events, and other miscellaneous stuff.
Important Details that you really shouldn’t skip reading: In addition to the cost of the wine, each automatic charge will include the cost of shipping to your specified receiving address and also any applicable sales tax according to the laws of the state the wine is being shipped to. You must be 21 years old to join. Your shipping address must be a real place where a 21 year old human being can sign for it (thus: no PO Boxes, and your dog doesn’t have the opposable thumbs to sign even if it’s 21 dog-years old). By signing up, you’re committing to purchase the wines that I choose to send you, and that’s the agreement we’re making so that you get the sweet discount. You can cancel your membership at any time.
You should join because you’re going to get some great wine that’s already very well priced at an even better price. Moreover, you’re guaranteed an allocation of some of the smaller production wines that I won’t have enough of to sell anywhere except to the wine club. I expect many of my smaller production wines to sell out through the wine club and limited distributor allocations, and because of that, the wine club is a guarantee of access to all the wines I release, even the smallest two barrel lots.
Shipments will typically take place in late spring (May-June) and winter (December-February) and will usually be 3/4 Pinot Noir or more. Of the first four shipments, as currently planned (things are subject to change), two shipments are all Pinot Noir, one shipment is 3/4 Pinot Noir, and one shipment is half Pinot Noir. Basically, you’re going to get a lot of Pinot Noir and the occasional Syrah, red blend, or other red wine. I do not plan on including white wine in any shipments. When I have white wines to release, I will present Wine Club members with first option to purchase in tandem with an existing shipment. We will notify you before billing and shipping an imminent shipment.
To see what the pricing on shipments averages, look at the shipments page to see past and planned shipments and the associated prices. Individual state taxes vary. Your shipping costs are below according to region.
Shipping will be billed according to geographic location and executed via FedEx Ground. If you’d like to ship via Express, we can arrange that. If you have a business address, it’s much more reliable and faster to ship there. Please remember that a 21 year old human must sign for the package. Shipping charges as of June 2012 are as follows:
If you have any other questions regarding unlisted states or other concerns regarding shipping, please let us know.
